Cool, bubbly and full of energy are some adjectives that strike you when you meet Aarti Chhabria. Born on July 6th, 1975 in Austin, Aarti stepped into the glamour world as a model (Krack cream, Amul, Freshna), before moving on to music videos. Nasha hi nasha hai done for Sukhwinder Singh is one of them.
The former Miss India Worldwide (2000) debuted in films opposite Nakul Kapoor in Tumse Achcha Kaun Hai. The movie bombed at the box office but Vikram Bhatt signed Aarti in his wacko multi starrer comedy Awaara Pagal Deewana opposite Akshay Kumar. I went through an audition to get this film , says the blue-eyed beauty. She also starred in the flick Raja Bhaiyya opposite Govinda. But Tumse Accha Kaun Hai still remains closest to her heart being her first film.
Aarti has no qualms about hailing from a non-filmi background. No godfather, no problem. "I was born to act. No one can deny me that. Movies are fun. You get to live so many different characters, you work with good-looking men, and you travel to the best places. And you get paid too!" she guffaws.
About working in a Kannada film Pritisonaba, Aarti says, People in the South are really organised. Initially, I did have problems with the dialect, but as the shoot progressed, I learnt."
Chhabria is a big fan of Abhishek Bachhan. He is a good actor; I hope he gets the right break. I would love to play the role of Urmila in Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya. Five years hence, I would like to see myself as an established actress," she says.

With her ideal daughter act, she managed to win over the small screen audiences so much so that they have extended their daily television viewing time by another half an hour to watch her magnificent on-screen presence.
She hails from a very conservative family and it was not easy for her to break into the showbiz. But ultimately the ice broke for her in the hugely popular soap `Kahiin To Hoga` and since then there was no looking back for this gracious bundle of talent.
Although Aamna Shariff made her debut on television with that serial she made the spark evident with her magnificent presence complemented well by superb acting potential. She might not be in the league of ‘Tulsi’ and ‘Parvati’, but definitely she seems to be making a mark with her wit and elegance.
She always wanted to become an actor and being from a Muslim background she met with some resistance from her family members in the initial stages and therefore had to keep her ambition on the backburner for quite sometime.
But soon after things started to roll and she had to take a call and henceforth she managed to convince her parents.
During her second year of college, Aamna Shariff started getting a lot of modeling offers. She endorsed popular brands like Close-up toothpaste, Betel phones, Emami cosmetic cream, Clearasil skin cream, Nescafe`s instant coffee, Vatika`s hair oil among many others. She has done nearly 50 ads.
Down the line, she also did a music videos sung by Kumar Sanu, Abhijeet, Falguni Pathak. She started getting lots of offers to act in serials and Hindi films as well. But she turned down most of them, as it had no substance at all. One day she got a call from Balaji Telefilms for ‘Kahiin To Hoga’. She immediately agreed to portray the role as she thought that it would be would be the biggest opportunity for her.
Ekta called her for the auditions and it took them six months to finalize. She hesitated just a bit before signing on the dotted line but now she feels fortunate that she did sign on it. Her onscreen chemistry with Rajeev Khandelwal was the main attraction of the show.
Aloo Chat was the debut movie of Aamna Shariif with Aftab Shivdasani. She is currently shooting another film with Aftab Shivdasani called Hum Aapke Peeche Khade Hai.
On the personal front however Aamna Shariff is a very happy and contented soul. She is a very practical girl and will assess the guy’s qualities before committing herself. She does not think that she will ever fall for a wrong guy.
According to Aamna, she can also carry off anything and does not mind donning revealing costumed if the script demands and if the scene is shot aesthetically.
